The city of Pune has a population of 3.1 million (5 million in the urban conurbation as a whole) and is not only the ninth-biggest city in India, but also the second-biggest in the state of Maharashtra. Pune is an important city for German investors and one of the most important centres of India’s automobile industry. The Volkswagen plant that was built in Pune in 2009 was at the time the biggest investment by a German company in India. The successful completion of the new building marked a sustainable entry into the Indian market for IC-L. Since April 2010 and with approximately 50 employees, we have continued to develop functional solutions for a wide range of building projects.
